TCU Lacrosse Wins Campus Award

On Wednesday April 30th the TCU Lacrosse team was honored with an award during the end of year dinner sponsored by the recreation department.

The club’s hard work and dedication of the team's officers led to the club being recognized as the Sports Club of the Year. The TCU Lacrosse team received this award because of their success on the field, diligence in planning and working with the recreation center as well as outstanding achievement in a season.

This award goes to show the program is on the rise and making sure there is a commitment to success within the lacrosse team. The award recognizes all players/staff on the team who helped to make the 2008 season possible.

End of Year Event a Success!

TCU Lacrosse held an end of year barbeque on Lake Granbury and the entire event was a great time for all team members. Individual awards were presented to members of the team. The winners include Steel Struble as Defensive Player of the year. Robert Staky took home honors as the Offensive Player of the Year. The newest addition to the Horned Frog offensive Brock Hensarling took home Newcomer of the Year honors.

In all, the event was full of good times and good stories. Great weather and a fun relaxing atmosphere helped to make the day a success! The TCU Lacrosse team would like to send a special thanks to the Medanich family who so generously stepped up to host this event.

TCU CLOSES SEASON WITH A WIN

The TCU Lacrosse Frogs travelled to New Orleans to take on LoneStar Alliance foe Tulane. The game was preceded by the Tulane football Green and White spring game. While many fans left after the game. Those that chose to stay enjoyed an offensive explosion from the Horned Frogs.

Leading the way in scoring was freshman Brock Hensarling with 4 goals and 3 assists. He was joined by fellow attacker Michael Burciaga with 3 goals and 2 assists. Midfielder Robert Staky would be the third scorer with 3 goals and 2 assists.

Matthew Patyk played the entire 60 minutes in goals and finished with 8 saves and 5 goals against in his final game as a Horned Frog.

TCU travels to New Orleans

The TCU Horned Frog Lacrosse team will look to close out their season with a win. The team will travel to New Orleans, LA to play Tulane University this Saturday.

The Horned Frogs have just come off a hard effort to beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys 13-1.

This will be TCU's first trip to New Orleans since joining the Lonestar Alliance.

Game time is set for 5 pm on Tulane's Intramural field.

Game time for TCU vs. Oklahoma State on Sunday April 13th is 1 pm. Location is the West Berry Intramural Fields.

BAYLOR Vs. TCU IS RESCHEDULED!

The TCU vs Baylor game has been Rescheduled to March 28th at 7 pm.

Game location will be the Worth Hills Intramural Fields. This game features a match-up of two teams looking to make a late season push up the LSA standings.

TCU comes off a long spring break and after a scrimmage with Big D Lacrosse club on March 19th, the Horned Frogs will return to practice after the holiday weekend.

Come out to the field on the 28th and support your Lax Frogs!

Scrimmage versus Big D Lacrossse Club

The TCU lacrosse team will scrimmage the Big D Lacrosse team on Wednesday March 19th. The scrimmage will start around 7:30 pm.

TCU will begin a short practice at 6:00 on the intramural field and then begin the scrimmage when the Big D Lacrosse Team is ready.

This will be the only competition until March 29th and 30th when the Horned Frogs travel to Houston to Play Rice and Sam Houston State.
